SALESIANS COOPERATORS
THE SALESIAN COOPERATORS OF DBPC UNIT
St. Don Bosco conceived the association of Salesian Cooperators as being open to laity and to the secular clergy. Salesian Cooperators live out their commitment and the Salesian spirit in their ordinary circumstances of life and work. With lay sensitivity and characteristics they diffuse values in their own setting.
We follow Don Bosco’s work to cooperate in his mission of salvation of the young. Don Bosco School teachers have a unit. We are 11 pledged members and 2 ‘com-and- see’ members. Our Unit Coordinator is Mrs Suma Thomas and Secretary is Mrs Stacey Fernandes. Mrs Christina Raphael is the Formation head.
Each unit has a delegate that precedes over the meetings. This delegate is the Rector, Rev Fr. Joseph Parappilly.
We have our monthly meetings on the 1st Tuesday of the month. We actively participate in our Parishes and have prayer services and adorations. We strengthen our spiritual growth under the guidance of our delegate and render our services when necessary in the form of remedial classes to the young or visitations to old age homes.
We hope to continue to remain committed to the objectives of Don Bosco and be strengthened by the Holy Spirit and Mary, Help of Christians, Mother of the Good Shepherd to be practically involved in the salvation of the young.
